Microsoft Office Live® is a new way to look at how your organisation uses software. It is an example of ‘software as a service’ where the tools you use to manage the day to day running of your firm are stored centrally by Microsoft and can be accessed by your firm using your Internet browser. This removes the need for investment in new hardware and software for your firm.

Office Live has the security benefits of being hosted on Microsoft's servers and data transmitted between your internet browser and the Office Live server is encrypted using industry standard SSL so you can be assured that your data is safe at all times.

As your data is stored centrally, it is available from anywhere, at anytime meaning remote working is a viable option for any level of user.

Microsoft Office Live® is a perfect solution for small businesses as it provides all the tools to manage day to day running without the expense of purchasing new hardware or software.

Domain name, website and email

Office Live allows you to set up an internet domain name (e.g. www.yourcompany.com), gives you the tools to design and publish your own website and also provides web mail which can be accessed anywhere in the world and is also available for access using a PDA. The email addresses will take the form yourname@yourcompany.com and you can set up as many as 50 different addresses dependant on your subscription type.

Business Applications

Office Live comes with various built in applications to help you manage your clients, projects and company information. Third party applications (like justia®) are available from the Microsoft Office Live Marketplace which means that there are a wealth of other applications that you can add in to your Office Live subscription to aid with the day to day running of your company. To use justia® you must subscribe to either Essentials or Premium.
